Helping Hand in Clare, known as Carinya is a welcoming and friendly home. ‘Carinya’ is an Aboriginal word meaning ‘happy, peaceful home’ which perfectly describes this country care home. Residents can enjoy cosy and comfortable areas along with landscaped, interactive gardens inspired by the local farming community with chickens and an aviary. The lifestyle team, volunteers, internet café, church services, library and hair salon add to the country community at Carinya. All rooms are private, with a private ensuite; and the memory support unit offers specialised care for people living with dementia. All meals, including modified meals, are prepared fresh on site with seasonal menus overseen by a nutritionist and planned by Carinya’s chef. The home is centrally located in Clare close to the bustling main street precinct, close to shops, cafes, the library and more.
